These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PeptidePal: Research Companion ("PeptidePal," "the App," "we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using PeptidePal, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Educational Purpose Only

PeptidePal is an educational research tool and personal tracking application. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.

All compound information presented in the app is derived from publicly available research literature and is provided for informational and educational purposes only. The inclusion of any compound in the app does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or suggestion to use that compound.

You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any decisions related to your health. PeptidePal is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use PeptidePal. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. User Accounts

You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Distribute, sell, or commercially exploit any content from the App
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
• Use the App to provide medical advice to others
• Misrepresent the App's content as professional medical guidance
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure

5. Compound Information Disclaimer

The compound library in PeptidePal contains descriptions, mechanisms of action, research summaries, and risk profiles based on publicly available scientific literature. This information:

• May not reflect the most current research findings
• Is presented in simplified form for educational accessibility
• Does not cover all possible risks, interactions, or contraindications
• Should not be used as the sole basis for any health-related decision
• May include compounds that are not approved for human use in your jurisdiction

Regulatory status of compounds varies by country and is subject to change. It is your responsibility to understand the legal status of any compound in your jurisdiction.

6. AI Research Assistant Disclaimer

PeptidePal includes an AI-powered research assistant feature. Responses from the AI assistant:

• Are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors
• Do not constitute medical advice or professional consultation
• Should be independently verified against primary research sources
• May not reflect the most current scientific consensus

7. Subscriptions and Purchases

PeptidePal offers optional paid subscriptions ("PeptidePal Pro") through Apple's in-app purchase system. By subscribing:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings under Subscriptions
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and trademarks in PeptidePal are the property of PeptidePal or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without written permission.

Data you enter into the App (dose logs, journal entries, etc.) remains yours. We do not claim ownership of your user-generated content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• PeptidePal is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
• We are not liable for any health outcomes, adverse effects, or damages arising from your use of information in the App
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PeptidePal, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in accordance with applicable state and federal law.
